Jumbo Grip and Colour Grip with new High Performance lead!

The Colour Grip and Jumbo Grip colour pencils make the world not only more colourful – they also fulfill the highest functional quality standards. The ergonomic triangular shape and the patented rubberized Grip zone relieve the child’s hand and therefore provide safe and tireless painting from the start. All of our Grip colour pencils are produced in Stein in Germany.

“High performance” lead: What is this about?

  • The lead is extra break-resistant thanks to its special bonding.
  • Due to the very high amount of pigments in the lead, the colour pencils have a superior colour laydown. A solid and intense colour stroke is possible without any pressure.
  • The colour pencils are not only luminous colour pencils but watercolour pencils as well. The colours are completely water-soluble and thus achieve a beautiful aquarell effect.
  • The colour pencils are very environmentally-friendly: The surface coating is made of environmentally-friendly water-based paint. Our wood grows in responsibly managed forests.

Jumbo Grip

The popular Jumbo Grip colour pencil has an extra thick lead. The new lead ensures a richer and deeper colour result.

Colour Grip

The colour palette of our Colour Grip colour pencils guarantees a joyful painting experience. The 48 colours leave nothing to be desired.

Techniques with our Jumbo Grip

Colour intensity

The light or strong application of paint trains the motor skills and pressure metering capability of the child‘s hand. Different colour saturations are created by changing the pressure on the colour pencil.

Dry colour mixing/ layering

Overlapping different shades results in new colour mixes.

Painting on wet paper

Water the paper. While drawing on wet paper the stroke of the colour pencil becomes softer and wider.

Watercolour painting

Dissolve the colours directly on the paper with a brush and water. A nice watercolour effect appears.

Shading

For achieving a shading effect the colour pencil is being hold extremly flat. Therefore the area is painted more quickly. Depending on the type of paper different beautiful structures are created.

Hatching and cross-hatching

Parallel lines or crossing lines result in an area. Different line spacing and hatching angles determine the areal density.

Line types

Lines can be very diverse: thin, thick, long, short, straight, wavy or jagged.
