The PITT Monochrome range consists of the classic artists’ colours, with a history going back thousands of years. The name “PITT” derives either from the English “pit”, since all the earth colours were formerly mined from under the earth, or from the Italian“pittura” or “pittore” meaning painting or painter. The range is used for working in contrast areas: light - dark or black - white.

What all PITT Monochrome products have in common is the traditional consistent high standards of quality: light-fast colours and the special binding agent which ensures high pigment density. They are also a delight to use.

• Thick graphite leads with a protective coating for clean handling
• Suitable for expressive shading of large areas
• Can be sharpened like a regular pencil

• A 12 mm thick graphite stick of the same quality as the leads in a CASTELL 9000 graphite pencil

PITT MONOCHROME CHARCOAL

• Oil-free PITT charcoal of the highest quality, as crayons pencils produced from a fine mixture of soot and charcoal
• PITT charcoal offers the deepest possible black and a soft stroke : especially suitable for large areas. Charcoal pencil: epecially for details
• Pressed charcoal crayons give a very deep black and come in five grades of hardness
• Pencils in 3 grades of hardness
