The PITT Monochrome range consists of the classic artists’ colours, with a history going back thousands of years. The name “PITT” derives either from the English “pit”, since all the earth colours were formerly mined from under the earth, or from the Italian“pittura” or “pittore” meaning painting or painter. The range is used for working in contrast areas: light - dark or black - white.

What all PITT Monochrome products have in common is the traditional consistent high standards of quality: light-fast colours and the special binding agent which ensures high pigment density. They are also a delight to use.

The assortment is subdivided into: Graphite, Charcoal, and Monochrome drawing products.

For detailed work or extended areas, our graphite pencils and crayons cover all your needs.
A wide range of contrasts from light grey to intense black.
